Building the FrontierVille Pet Shop: Everything you need to know

Who doesn't love puppies? No one, that's who. If you were hoping more was to come from that old Basset Hound in the Doghouse, you're in luck. Zynga has introduced the Pet Shop to FrontierVille, and there are three breeds to purchase and befriend. Sure, this sounds pretty awesome, but you need to build the thing first. Find out how after the break.

You'll unlock access to the Pet Shop upon taking on the first Goal in the series, which can be found right here. Placing it costs a mere 100 coins and 20 Wood. However, it will take nine Whacks at one Energy and seven Wood a piece to complete the building's foundation. After that, this building's menu will appear, demanding the following items:

    15 Kennels
    15 Dog Beds
    10 Scratching Posts
    10 Litter Boxes
    10 Aquariums
    1 Pet Crate

The 15 Kennels and Dog Beds are acquired by asking friends directly through the window menu, while the Scratching Posts, Litter Boxes and Aquariums are found through posting News Feeds about them through the same menu. However, you will not be able to complete the Pet Shop until completing the final Goal in the series, "Animal House." Find out how to complete that mission right here, and enjoy your flashy new Pet Shop.

Puppies in the future
At the moment, Puppies will simply follow you around the Homestead and rest in the Doghouse once purchased. However, Zynga plans to add plenty more functions to the little pups in due time. Here are all eight Puppies you can find in the Pet Shop, along with their astronomical prices:

    Chocolate Lab: 60,000 Coins
    Brown Husky: 100,000 Coins
    Sable Collie: 100,000 Coins
    Black Husky: 30 Horseshoes
    Black Collie: 100,000 Coins
    Black Lab: 18 Horseshoes
    White Husky: 24 Horseshoes
    Grey Collie: 30 Horseshoes
    Yellow Lab: 100,000 Coins

Now that you've spent all time and money putting this thing together, I guess you have no choice but to drop another 60 thousand on a Puppy. Have fun making that up that loss. Hey, at least they're cute and will learn things later on--consider this an investment.
